Elf Long Lasting Lustorous Eye shadow Collection (with swatches!) ♥

Hello! I was recently contacted by Elf and asked to review their Long Lasting Eyeshadow collection, I was super excited to try out these shadows, they're so pretty!
This collection has such a gorgeous colour range, each shade is wearable and there are no over the top, bright colours which I am really pleased about. They are cream based eyeshadows, each shade is highly pigmented and very shimmery.
I applied these eyeshadows first thing in the morning with a flat eyeshadow brush and by the end of the day they were still as bright and fresh as they were when first applied, they don't crease or transfer onto my face either which is great. I have been using them on their own and also blended together with a flick of eyeliner to finish off the look.
To recreate the makeup look above I used 'Toast' on the inner corner of my lid, with 'Soiree' blended into it in the middle of my eye. I then applied 'Gala' onto the outer corner of my eye and blended it into my crease, I used 'Festivity under my lower lash line to make my eyes stand out a bit more, finally I applied 'Confetti' onto my brow bone as a highlight, which worked really nicely! I then finished off the look with Elf's liquid eyeliner (review here).
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you think of these eyeshadows!

Favourite Liquid Eyeliner | Elf Precision Liquid Eyeliner ♥

THE BEST EYE LINER EVER. *ends blog post*

No, okay that's not quite the entire blog post but that is it rounded up in one tiny sentence, this eyeliner is perfecto. I have been using a Maybelline gel eyeliner for over a year, it works well but it is so so much easier to use this little bottle with the brush inside it. I didn't expect this eyeliner brush to be so precise, I can create tiny thin flicks or thick bold lines and it is so easy to remove with a tiny bit of makeup remover on a cotton bud if I make a mistake. The colour is really dark and lasts all day, it doesn't break up and come off if the eyeliner is reapplied on top which is brilliant. It has a lovely high shine finish which looks great when I create a matte eyeshadow look. This is definitely the best eyeliner I have used, it would be brilliant for a beginner, the brush is so thin and easy to use. I highly recommend this product and for £3.95 what can go wrong?!

This Weeks Polyvore Collage

Dress - Dorothy Perkins, Blazer - Top Shop, Plimsolls - Vans, Satchel - www.theiconic.com

I made this collage with Spring and Summer in mind as I am actually looking forward to the long warm nights, being out with friends, having picnics in parks and having plenty of ice cream!
First of all, I love this makeup tutorial. I usually have my eyes this kind of look, I think its a nice smoky/natural look, perfect for Summer!
I think this dress with a slight tan would look so flattering! The blazer and Vans change the look to, smart/casual which I love!
I think the satchel just adds a bit more of a girly touch, its lovely spring/summer colours which brighten up the whole look.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I love Polyvore, if you aren't already signed up to it and you love fashion then you are missing out, I love putting together outfits in my head so Polyvore has made it so easy to document my thoughts in a way :) my username on Polyvore is 'ragsnroses
