Veet Facial Hair Removal Cream Review (eyebrows!) ♥

As you read this I will be in Brighton enjoying the last day of my trip in London! I will have a blog post up soon all about my trip! Keep your eyes peeled :)
I absolutely hate plucking the hairs between my eyebrows and whenever I do I always end up with massive sore lumps which eventually turn into spots. I have tried waxing too but that didn't make much difference, however, I have finally found the perfect product for me! I didn't think this hair removal kit would work on stubborn eyebrow hairs but trust me it does! I found out the hard way, the first time I used it I accidentally rubbed the product onto my actual eyebrow and when I removed the hair after 10 minutes I took away about a 1/3 of my eyebrow ha ha (thank goodness for full fringes!). I have mastered the proper way to use this product now, so no more mishaps! This hair removal cream is directed at sensitive skin which is great, it can be used for upper lip, chin or cheek hair. It doesn't directly mention it is to be used for eyebrows but I have used it that way and found no problems at all.
The only thing I don't like about this product is the same thing I hate about all hair removal creams, they smell horrible! However I am willing to look past that as it is a really good product otherwise. I apply a small amount of cream onto my skin and wait about 10 minutes, there's a very slight sting to my skin every now and again but nothing too drastic. I then take the spatula which is provided in the kit and start to rub away the cream and the excess hair. I then wash away the rest of the cream with warm water from the desired area until all the hairs are gone and I can't feel the product anymore. My skin is usually a bit red after all the product and hairs are removed, so don't use this just as you are about to go out the door on a night out! I finally apply the gentle finishing cream.
If you are looking for a hair removal kit for stubborn facial hair or eyebrows then I highly recommend you try this one out!

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Polish

Hellloooo, I have a pretty negative review for you today, one that has actually made me quite annoyed! Keep reading to find out why.
I recently bought this brightening polish because I get red marks left on my skin if I ever get a spot, even though my new Origins Spot Remover gets rid of them, I still have a few marks from previous spots before I used Origins spot treatment, so I wanted a product which would brighten up my entire face and dull down the dark spots. This was not the case. I applied the exfoliating gel all over my face with water on my hands, I lathered it up then rinsed my face once I was happy with the amount on my skin. Immediately after using I could feel my skin felt really clean and soft so my first impressions were pretty good. However, about 10 minutes later my cheeks and forehead started burning and feeling really hot and uncomfortable, this feeling finally disappeared after about 20 minutes. The following morning I noticed lots of small annoying spots randomly dotted over my forehead and around my nose area, some of these turned into really sore spots, I had about 6 on my forehead for about a week and a half, luckily I have a full fringe which covers my forehead! This is really annoying because I never get spots, my skin is usually pretty good and now I have even more marks on my face! I know it was this product that caused the spots because I didn't try anything new in the time the spots appeared. I really really wouldn't recommend trying this brightening polish if you have even slightly sensitive skin, I don't know if it is just my skin or what but I really wouldn't want anyone else skin to go the way mine did!
Have you tried this product?

Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Roll On ♥

Hello! I have been loving this eye roll-on recently, so I thought I better share it with you gals! I have been using it when I wake up and before I apply my makeup. It is brilliant for reducing the puffy, tired bags under my eyes and brightening up my entire eye area. I have noticed a difference in the colour of the inner corners of my eyes, they aren't as dark and purpley as they were before I started using this product, so I am really pleased. Using this product first thing in the morning is such a treat as it has a metal ball applicator which is always really cool and refreshing when I roll on the cold gel formula to my skin which is full of vitamins, cucumber, lupin and glycerin extracts which are great for your skin! I would definitely recommend you try this product if you want to brighten up your under eye area and waken yourself up more in the morning!

What's On My Bedside Table ♥

Hello! I have read a couple of these posts in the past few months so I thought I would share what's on my bedside table with you all too! I don't clutter my table with junk so here are a few simple things I keep on it.
Heart Drawer set - Dunelm
My mum bought me this for my new room, I keep little bits and bobs like jewellery, cotton buds, pieces of paper and little notes in the drawers. I love things like this to keep my room tidy.
 teacup lamp - dunelm
I loooove this lamp! IT'S TEACUPS.. what's not to love. I love how simple but quirky it is, I sometimes keep earrings and rings on the saucer parts.
I use this pen holder to keep my Clean and Clear facial cleanser and Simple makeup remover bottles in. It keeps them out of the way of all my other skincare bottles and right beside me when I get into bed at night and I want to take my makeup off.
House Candle Holder - Hobbycraft
I love the detailing on this candle holder, it is a nice little decorative object even if you don't use it as a candle holder.
Random things
I always keep my notepad and this months company mag beside my bed for quick reads or if I need to write down a blog post idea. I always have my phone here too when I am watching tv, my Instagram is shown on it, my username is magickruby if you want to follow me. I have also been trying out Superdrug's new Superberry Mud Mask, I loove the smell of it and I like how the berry seeds are the exfoliating part of the mask. It makes my skin feel smooth and soft after I've used it, I am enjoying using it every now and again when I want to relax.
I know I don't have the most exciting bedside table in the world but its everything I need! I hope you enjoyed reading. xo

Top 10 Beauty Products - Collaboration Post! ♥

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a good week. I have a different kind of post today so I hope you like it!
Taylor from Taylorscollectionn tweeted the other day asking if anyone would like to do a collaboration post with her, so I thought I would give it a try, I've never done a collab post before so this is all new to me! I love how these kinds of posts connect bloggers and I love how we are all helping promote each other in a more interesting way than just an Instagram or Twitter shout out! I hope you like the topic we picked to talk about. All of Taylor's links will be below so definitely check out her beauty blog and twitter profile! If any of you would like to do a collaboration post with me then please get in touch via email (nataliemaac@googlemail.com) or tweet me @shabbychicndtea and I will consider it, I love making new friends through blogger!

To the majority of you this will come as no surprise that I love this concealer, everyone does, however, I don't use it as a concealer, I use it as an eyeshadow base! It gives my eyelids a perfect all over natural colour and it makes my eyeshadow last all day! Of course all the packaging has rubbed off as usual! Which is so annoying.
This has become my all time favourite mascara, you can get it on Fragrance Direct for only £2.99, bargain! It separates and spreads out my eyelashes evenly and holds them up all day.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - Grapefruit and Patchouli
Those of you who are familiar with my blog will know how much I adore this limited edition cleanse and polish. I love the smell and results from this cleanser, it makes my skin feel silky smooth and oil free! Worth every penny.
Another all time favourite, I have a full review here. I use this palette every day, all the eye shadows are super pigmented, they blend perfectly together and they last all day. Definitely a palette every aspiring makeup artist should have in their kit!
This is my new favourite powder. It brightens up my foundation even more and it makes my skin look smooth and silky once I've applied it on top of my foundation. And it's only £1.99 from Fragrance Direct which is amazing!
I have a full review on this tonic here, I use it every day after I have cleansed my face, it has helped brighten and clear my skin when I need it most and it makes my skin feel hydrated and soft.
MUA eye shadow shade 1 (Superdrug)
I use this eyeshadow as a brow and cheek bone highlight. It is only £1 from Superdrug. I have had this pot for over a year now and I haven't even hit pan yet! It makes my skin glow without looking caked or too shimmery, definitely worth trying out!
I use this duo every day, it compliments my pale skin perfectly and it lasts all day. I love how easy it glides onto my face and how well these colours compliment each other. I have heard and seen it is a good dupe for the Nars Laguna duo too!
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polish
I love all of the Gelly Hi Shine polishes but this one in particular is amazing! It matches every outfit and it lasts for about 4/5 days! I use it all the time and its only £3.99, what's not to love?!
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser
I use this as my daily moisturiser before I apply my foundation. It is brilliant for my sensitive skin and it gets rid of any dry patches I happen to get in the colder winter months. Simple is a brand I absolutely adore because their products are full of vitamins and they don't have any perfumes or bad stuff in their products!

Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner | Review ♥

I have used a few gel eyeliners, constantly hoping to find the best one. This one is my favourite so far, it is creamy and easy to apply, I don't have to build it up too much to get a deep black colour and it lasts a long time on my waterline too. The only problem I have is it sometimes transfers to the top of my eyelid, which is SO annoying, especially if I have eyeshadow in my crease. It ruins the look and I have to try and do my eyeshadow again without taking off my eyeliner. I always wait a few minutes before applying mascara and I avoid looking up, I have also tried putting a black eyeshadow over the top of it to set it in place but that still doesn't seem to work. So if you have any tips on how to stop this gel eyeliner from transferring then please leave a comment below. Apart from that I love this eyeliner!

Cosmopolitan Blend Perfection Sponge Review (Beauty Blender Dupe)

Hello again!
In my recent order from Superdrug, I finally bought the much raved about beauty blender. I wasn't too sure about this sponge as I just didn't believe that by wetting a sponge and using it to put on your foundation was going to work at all. I was so wrong!
I absolutely loooove this blender, it really does give your skin that airbrushed finish and applies your foundation flawlessly and evenly every time. It doesn't leave any sponge marks either. I find that when I use brushes, they sometimes leave brush lines, so that is why I thought I would try the beauty blender. Obviously this Beauty Blender is the knock off version of the real one which costs about £26, so this one for £4.99 is pretty damn good if I do say so myself!
The pointed tip is brilliant for getting under your eyes and in the corners of your nose, I also like using it for concealing blemishes as it is more precise. The rounded bottom is so good for all over your face, I just wet the the sponge and squeeze out the water, pour my foundation onto the back of my hand, dab the beauty blender into it and bounce it off my face, like it tells you to in the instructions.
Definitely go and buy one, you'll be surprised how good it is!
