Looking out over Skye a couple of weeks ago

Well.. I think this is the 3rd time I've wrote a comeback blog post..I promise I am going to get better at this again. My blog and I have had a bit of a dysfunctional relationship over the last couple years.. we try to commit but it never works out the way we want it to. But this time I want to be back for good. So I am going to start off fresh and have a new blog style and see how it goes from there. I want to post more lifestyle content as I find myself exploring a lot more these days and although I update my Instagram virtually every day it's just not the same as documenting a day out in a blog post. I want to get back into reviewing products too, I have a mental list of things I want to write about that I think you will enjoy as much as I am! I want to post some gaming reviews too which is something I wanted to do in the past but didn't think it would suit everyone's taste but I am now in the mind set of "this is my blog and I will post the things I enjoy" regardless if it only gets 5 views. Lets' see how this time pans out...

Life Update Again.. | One Awful Year Later...I'm Back

Hey! I am heeeeere! 

I'm going to give my blog some attention again, I feel like my head is slowly coming back around to "normal" and I feel like I can do this again. Blogging should not feel like a chore you should want to do it so that's why I'm back, I want to do this again! 

As some of you may know last year was the worst yet for me, I sadly lost my big cousin/best friend Kelly to skin cancer which became terminal last September and it has affected me really badly. I am still in shock and I can't believe it is coming up to a year since she passed away but I know she would want me to get back on here and back on track with my life and stop being so down. So I have lots of things, beauty and miscellaneous aside to review, I have loads of makeup ideas to upload and I am going to be travelling about a lot more so I will try and incorporate all that into my posts as much as I can! I can't wait to see what happens from here, I hope you guys are well. You can keep up to date with me if you fancy through Instagram which I use all the time @magickruby :) x

I have wanted an amethyst stone necklace for so long and this one is perfect. I decided to get it in a  black shoe lace style choker to make it a bit different to all the other amethyst necklaces I have seen.

My products arrived in a lovely bright purple parcel, each in individual little draw string bags, with pretty star & moon sequins dusted inside the purple tissue paper that was holding it all together, I thought this was a nice touch!

Life Recently ♥ | Kittens, Mountain Bikes, Sunny Days etc.

HEY! I hope you're doing well! I feel like I haven't talked to you all in so long.. I have been so busy recently, I have been hanging out with my best  friends, one of which has just left to live in Glasgow :( (so upset), I've been swimming in massive pools and rivers, having BBQ's, having DVD nights with my friends, travelling with my mum and of course working! I have managed to fit in a lot into my spare time which I am really pleased about, I have been getting out in the sunshine whenever I get the chance, so I haven't been posting as much (sorry). Here are a few pictures I would like to share with you all. I am going to take plenty blog post pictures today as I'm off (y a y) so I will be back on track very soon, I have loads of reviews and ideas that I can't wait to share with you all! 7 & 8 - I dyed my hair (please excuse my bogging mirror in the second picture)!! My hair was not meant to turn out this dark at all but I liked it at the time, I have now attempted to strip my hair 3 times, all of which haven't worked brilliantly and my hair has faded back dark each time! I am getting my hair done on the 6th August though so it will be totally different again, I can't wait!

9 & 10 - A new cafe opened in my high street, it is amazing and it does thee best brownies EVER.

11 & 12 - I have been here twice in the past 2 weeks, it is such a beautiful place to go swimming or just sit and chill at!

Models Own Velvet Goth - Purple 'Amethyst', Black 'Obsidain' £5 each

I thought I would share my current favourite nail polishes with you all, I have been loving wearing these two polishes over the past couple of months. They last about 4/5 days without any chips and they have such a lovely soft velvety finish. The purple shade has got to be my favourite, it is so vibrant and the sparkles through it are a lovely pinky/purple colour. The black shade matches everything I wear and it looks great with the velvet finish. The bottles these polishes come in are so cool, I love the velvet lids, nice touch!

This is my natural hair colour if any of you are wondering. SO many people ask me what hair dye I use to get it this colour but I'm afraid to say its just au natural! Hello! I haven't done a what's in my bag post in ages so I took this as the perfect opportunity to show off my new bag! I have been wanting this bag for ages, I originally wanted it from The Handbag Shop but they ran out of the black version so I had to look elsewhere, I found this one on eBay for only £23.99 + £1.99 p&p! It is the perfect size, I can fit everything I need in it with extra space left! It is very thick and sturdy with 2 inside compartments, a small inside zip pocket, 2 phone compartments and a front pocket which I keep my car keys in. Happy Sunday! I hope you have had a good week! I haven't done very much this week, I have been working, been to the doctors about a pain in my leg I've had for 6 months, I got blood tests and I have an x-ray next Wednesday which will hopefully show what is making my leg so painful *grr*, I had the dentist on Friday and in my spare time I have been typing up blogposts. Ooh and my blog hit 200 followers this week woohooo! Thank you all for following me, it means a lot! October Favourites ♥

I hope you've had a good month! It  has been okay for me, I have been working a lot more but it was all worth it come pay day. I haven't really done much throughout October apart from go to Glasgow shopping with James, it's been a pretty boring month for me! However I have been trying new products and buying new things which are all included in this months favourites!

1. Revlon nail polish 'Scandalous' £6.49 - I absolutely love this nail polish! It lasts such a long time and looks amazing on my nails!

2. Barbara Daly lipstick 'Sugar Candy' £9 Tesco - For me this is the perfect lipstick for autumn/winter, it is such a lovely purple shade and it matches everything!

3. Ren Global Protection Day Cream Sample(Free in InStyle mag, part of a 3 piece set) - I have loved using this sample throughout this month, it smells absolutely amazing, it sinks into my skin quickly, leaving it feeling revived and soft. 

4. Revlon Colorstay Foundation 110 ivory £12.49 - This is my new favourite foundation, as some of you may know, I have super pale skin and it's hard to find foundation that matches me. I find this foundation to be very very close to my skin tone and it lasts all day! I love it, I will be doing a full review on it very soon!

5. MUA Matte Palette £4 Superdrug - I am so happy MUA have brought out this palette, I only ever use matte shades so now that they have an entire palette dedicated to them, I am very happy! The shades are very pigmented and blend together perfectly. I will be doing a full review on this in the near future too!

6. Head Case HTC One X phone case eBay £5.49 - I don't know if this phone case will be to everyone's liking, but I love it, I think it is very me! I find it cute, however, James doesn't. It is perfect for the Halloween season but I can tell I will use it all year round, it protects my phone well and it arrived within a couple of days of purchasing it, I bought it from this eBay seller, they do lots of other designs too!

7+8 TARTAN! I always love a bit of tartan at this time of year but this year I've become far far too patriotic! I have loads of new tartan pieces, even the pyjamas I'm wearing right now are tartan! The scarf on the left is from Primark for £4 and the one on the right is from one of the many highland shops in my high street for £6, I love both of them, they are very cosy and on trend!
