Elf Cream Blush ♥
Hey gals! I recently bought a few things from Elf and took advantage of their offer that gives you their spring collection worth £20 for free if you spend £20 or more! I'm not sure if the offer is still on but you should have a look! I got this studio cream blush as part of the collection, I'm really glad I did because I don't tend to buy blushers, never mind cream blushers. I love this shade, it matches my skin tone perfectly and gives me a nice rosy glow. It is more like a soft mousse than a cream, however, I like this as I find it easier to apply as it applies matt instead of shimmery.
Have you tried any of Elf's cream blushers? xo

Simple Perfecting Beauty Balm Review ♥
Hellooo, I have a pretty negative product review today. I think it's good to keep a mix of good and bad reviews on my blog, so that people with similar skin tones to me know what they are getting with a product.
I am a huge fan of all of Simple's products but this one definitely isn't one I am going to be adding to my favourites any time soon. I have been looking for the perfect, light BB cream for a while now but it just doesn't seem to exist! I seen this one on offer in Superdrug a couple of weeks ago for £4.49, I thought it was the perfect time to try it as my skin was pretty clear and I wanted to wear less foundation on a daily basis. I looked through all of the boxes on the shelf to find the lightest shade, however, I was surprised to see that they all had the same 'universal shade' on the front of every box. I was confused at how one shade could possibly fit everyone, however, I still bought it.
I was shocked at how orange this BB cream was when I first squeezed it out of the tube. I applied it on top of my moisturiser with my Real Techniques expert face brush (review here), and buffed it into my skin. My face instantly turned orange and I could still see every little mark left from previous spots. I tried blending it down my neck to make it look a bit better which didn't work. I think this BB cream would only be best used if you fake tan and have a glow about your skin all the time, otherwise it is going to totally mismatch your skintone and make you look like a tangerine. I was really really disappointed in this BB cream as Simple are such a brilliant skincare brand. Maybe makeup isn't their strong point just yet, but I am hopeful that they will bring out a better BB cream in the future!
Have you tried this BB cream?

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush Review ♥
Hello! I GOT A NEW CAMERA! It's the Nikon D3200 DSLR, I am in love with it, I'm really enjoying exploring all the different features it has. I hope you like my pictures in this post, I am sure they will get better as time goes on, once I suss out the different aspects of my camera!
I have been loving using this RT brush. I haven't used any other RT brushes apart from the eyeshadow ones so this was brand new for me. I'm so so impressed! I usually use Cosmopolitan's beauty blender (review here) to apply and blend out my foundation, so I wasn't too sure how I would get on with a brush again. I used to use stippling brushes but I hated the finish they give my makeup, I always seem to have loads of brush strokes left on my face which need blended in with a beauty blender and I find they make my foundation cakey. However because this brush has such dense bristles it manages to pack on all the colour I need and buff out my foundation flawlessly onto my skin. I am so impressed with it, none of the bristles fall out and it leaves my skin looking 'real' and smooth. If you haven't tried this brush then I highly recommend you do! Its amazing!
What's your favourite Real Techniques brush? xo

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Review ♥
Happy Valentine's day! I hope you're all having a good day, whether you are with someone or not this Valentine's, you should take the opportunity to pamper yourself! Get a good DVD, some munchies and your favourite face mask and have a good evening:)!
I have been using this skin tonic religiously every morning and night after I have cleansed my face, I'm obsessed! My skin feels cool, refreshed and hydrated after I have applied this using a cotton pad. All the good ingredients and vitamins make me feel like my skin is being looked after, these include; Organic Aloe Vera, Calendula, Rose-scented Geranium, Cucumber and Vitamin E (which is an antioxidant that helps repair and protect your skin!). The smell of this product is amazing, as are all Liz Earle products, it has a very heavenly rose scent, which lasts ages! I have also noticed my skin hasn't had as many breakouts recently and my blemish marks are starting to fade? I can't think of any other product that could be doing this apart from this tonic, so that has pleased me. If you have used this product then comment your thoughts below!
(p.s I know that the bunny chocolates in the picture look like they have been involved in a chocolate bunny massacre but they taste amazing and were too cute not to feature in this post! They're from Tesco!)
♥What are your plans this Valentine's day? :)♥

October Favourites ♥
Hello(:
I hope you've had a good month! It has been okay for me, I have been working a lot more but it was all worth it come pay day. I haven't really done much throughout October apart from go to Glasgow shopping with James, it's been a pretty boring month for me! However I have been trying new products and buying new things which are all included in this months favourites!
(Individual item pictures from the top to bottom)
1. Revlon nail polish 'Scandalous' £6.49 - I absolutely love this nail polish! It lasts such a long time and looks amazing on my nails!
2. Barbara Daly lipstick 'Sugar Candy' £9 Tesco - For me this is the perfect lipstick for autumn/winter, it is such a lovely purple shade and it matches everything!
3. Ren Global Protection Day Cream Sample(Free in InStyle mag, part of a 3 piece set) - I have loved using this sample throughout this month, it smells absolutely amazing, it sinks into my skin quickly, leaving it feeling revived and soft.
4. Revlon Colorstay Foundation 110 ivory £12.49 - This is my new favourite foundation, as some of you may know, I have super pale skin and it's hard to find foundation that matches me. I find this foundation to be very very close to my skin tone and it lasts all day! I love it, I will be doing a full review on it very soon!
5. MUA Matte Palette £4 Superdrug - I am so happy MUA have brought out this palette, I only ever use matte shades so now that they have an entire palette dedicated to them, I am very happy! The shades are very pigmented and blend together perfectly. I will be doing a full review on this in the near future too!
6. Head Case HTC One X phone case eBay £5.49 - I don't know if this phone case will be to everyone's liking, but I love it, I think it is very me! I find it cute, however, James doesn't. It is perfect for the Halloween season but I can tell I will use it all year round, it protects my phone well and it arrived within a couple of days of purchasing it, I bought it from this eBay seller, they do lots of other designs too!
7+8 TARTAN! I always love a bit of tartan at this time of year but this year I've become far far too patriotic! I have loads of new tartan pieces, even the pyjamas I'm wearing right now are tartan! The scarf on the left is from Primark for £4 and the one on the right is from one of the many highland shops in my high street for £6, I love both of them, they are very cosy and on trend!

Happy Halloween! I hope you enjoy my second Halloween inspired nail art tutorial!
1. You will need: Red polish (Calvin Klein 'Salmon'), dark red or dark pink polish (Barry M Hi-Shine '305 Pomegranate'), top coat(MUA) & a dotting tool.
2. Draw a wavy line at the tip of your nail using a dotting tool.

Halloween | Pumpkin Nail Art Tutorial ♥
Hello! I thought I would do a different kind of post today, so I hope you like it! I love Halloween, I think it's because the weather starts to change and everywhere feels Autumnal and cosy! Of course I also love the thought of vampires, ghosts and witches with black cats and broom sticks haha!
Pumpkins are one of those things that instantly remind me of Halloween so that's why I thought they would make a good nail art tutorial, to get into the Halloween spirit (ha ha spirit.. get it..oOoOoh).
1. You will need: Green polish (Beauty UK), 2 shades of orange polish (Essie 'Action' & Essie 'Orange, It's Obvious'), black polish (Barry M '47 Black'), white polish (Barry M '66 Matt White'), a top coat (MUA) & a dotting tool.
2. Paint a semi-circle on the tip of your nail with the lightest shade of orange.
3. With a dotting tool blend the darker shade of orange into the sides of the semi-circle (this doesn't have to be neat at the edges as you will fill a colour round them later).
4. Paint on your desired pumpkin face using a dotting tool and black polish, add a green stalk to the top and then dot white polish onto the eyes as a highlight.
5. Blend black polish around the outsides of the pumpkin, neatening up the edges as you go.
6. Paint the darker shade of orange onto the bottom of your nail and use a dotting tool to blend the black and orange together, I find 'swirling' them together works well. Finally apply a glossy top coat to finish off the design.
I hope you liked this tutorial, comment any ideas you have for more nail art tutorials below :)! xo

Leopard Print Nail Tutorial
I really don't like Sundays.. today has been a lazy day. But it has given me a chance to catch up on some more blogs and YouTube videos, so it's not all bad. I decided to paint my nails tonight so I thought you might want to read how I done it. I hope you enjoy the tutorial, if I do another one I will try my best to do a step by step using individual pictures too I know that always helps.
I used Superdrug's own brand of plain ready to paint false nails. I love using them, they are a normal kind of length, not too long. I then applied Revlon '185' sweet tart to all of my nails apart from my ring finger, I painted this one white using Barry M '66' matt white (which isn't actually a matte colour it's shiny). I then took one of my dotting tools with a large nib (you can use a cocktail stick for this part and the next if you don't have them) and Revlon '185' pink and made circle shapes and 'c' shapes randomly across the white nail. Finally once the pink had dried, I used the pointed end of a dotting tool and Barry M '47' black and painted half moon shapes around the pink blobs and dotted some black polish in places. I finished it off with a top coat and that's it done!
I hope this tutorial is useful to you and please tell me if you would like to see more posts like this as I am always doing nail art :) x

Whats In My Bag?
I love reading these posts, so I hope you like them too! I just love seeing what other people have in their bags, you can learn a lot about the person by just seeing the contents of their bag I think..
Well, this is my bag, I am sure you have seen it on YouTubers videos and blog posts before, I just couldn't resist it when I seen it the first time on YouTube. I got mine from eBay if you type in 'studded leather bag' or 'studded barrel bag' there should be different versions available. I need a big bag because I carry a lot of junk.. but I always need the 'junk' at some point, I like to be organised! This bag is huge so it is perfect for me.
Hand Maid Sanitizer from Soap and Glory is THEE nicest smelling hand sanitizer ever. I usually purchase this along with the mini 'hand food' and body butter whenever there is a 3 for 2 in boots as they are only 2.50 each and one free obviously. I can't be anywhere without hand sanitizer as the thought of germs makes me feel eughhh! I hate public transport, door handles, shopping trollies, restaurants, the list goes on.
I have never liked the really chemically smell from most hand sanitizers ad I had been on the hunt for one that smelled fresh but not over powering and I have finally found it!
Body spray for when I cant be bothered spraying perfume all over me. Tissues because I usually always need them, not particularly for my nose but I always manage to spill something or have a smudge of makeup somewhere.
'Hand Food' is something I love carrying because I love the smell of it and I need it to use on my hands in this cold frosty weather!
(From top Left)
I got this mini hand warmer for my Christmas, I love it! I have cold hands all the time, even on hot summer days, my hands are frozen! So this hand warmer is brilliant! It comes with its own knitted case and everything. There is a metal element inside that you snap and it instantly warms up and holds a heat for quite a long time, to reuse it you just put it in a pan of boiling water for about 10 minutes.
I like carrying this coin purse because I usually get tips from clients in my work so I put them in this coin purse to put into my money tin when I get home.
A bobble! I always loose bobbles so I try and always have one in my bag!
Chewing gum kind of explains itself.
My phone.. I couldn't live without my phone. It is the HTC one x, I am a bit of a tech geek so I love having high performance phones and this one is the best I have had yet, I have everything on it, my favourite app has to be instagram! my username is @magickruby.
I nicked this purse off my mum, it is a Suzy smith one and I love the size of it! I find the Suzy Smith purses are always really good quality. It has my ID, bank card and money and random stuff in it.
I always carry perfume. I love the smell of this one which is 'Loverdose' by Diesel, it smells of liquorice and a mix of other things, I would recommend giving it a spray next time you are in a perfume shop.
I always hit my nails off of something so I need my nail file, I got this case with a set of files from Primark which is useful because it stops the emery board scratching anything else in my bag.
I always take blog notes, blog ideas and lists of things so I like to carry this basic notepad about.
Finally my new hamster phone cover, I have never had a hamster but I like them so my brother decided to get me this as part of my Christmas, my phone doesnt fit into many phone socks as it is far too big but this one was specifically for my phone size and I love it, it protects it really well and is spongy so nothing hits off of it.
I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it would be better in video form but I don't have enough confidence to go on camera just yet!
Have you done a 'whats in my bag' post? link it below if you have, I would love to read it :)

Emma Hardie 'Amazing Face' Review
Natural lift and sculpl Moringa cleansing balm. 100ml
Perfectly balanced daily cleansing for skin that craves clean. 100ml
The Emma Hardie Amazing Face natural lift and sculpt Moringa cleansing balm is brilliant, even though the name is very long! I don't need to lift and sculpt my face just yet as I am only 17 but it is the cleansing side of this product that I love and it smells amazing too! I must say I don't use this every single day but I do still use it often and when I feel my face needs a boost. You can apply this to your face wet or dry, it just depends on what you think works the best for you.
How I apply this cleanser:
First I wash my face with warm water and using one of my Liz Earle muslin cloths. I leave my face damp and then begin to apply the balm. I massage a small amount at a time in onto my entire face for about 4-5 minutes until my face is completely covered, I focus mostly around my eyes, I have found that this product doesn't irritate my eyes so it is safe to put it around and over your eyelids. I don't apply a lot of product onto my face as this product is oily and it goes a long way. I then leave it for a few minutes and then rinse it off with warm water and my muslin cloth and to finish I pat my face dry with a towel.
After using this product I feel my skin is smoother, a lot cleaner and brighter, I would highly recommend it! I do have slightly sensitive skin but I don't have any problems after using it. I think this product will work well on all skin types. The scent from this cleanser is so heavenly, it reminds me a lot of some Liz Earle products, it's just so relaxing!
One of the cheapest places you can buy this product from is Feel Unique, it usually retails at £34.00 for 100ml.

Company Magazine
I usually don't buy many magazines because I think most of them are just full of utter crap, I am not a person who is interested in reading about about who stole who's cat and about everyone's sex lives. But I had decided to buy Company magazine before they changed their new look last February and I didn't really enjoy reading through it, it seemed very typical and boring. Then they changed their cover and the entire style of the magazine, I instantly was drawn to it on the magazine shelf in the supermarket. I bought it without realising it was the same magazine that I had read a few months previous. I love Company magazine now and I have had to buy it every single month, since March last year. Absolutely everything in it interests me. They write about beauty, makeup, fashion, blogging, tutorials, nail art and they always have interviews with young and interesting people, it has no silly 'real life' stories and 'awkward' to read stories. I might just be odd but I love the fact I can leave company magazine lying around the house without worrying if any of my wee cousins pick it up and read something they shouldn't. I am going to subscribe after this months issue as I think it is easier than trying to find it in a shop in my town (which seems to be the last to get any magzines!).

This months issue is £2.50 and in some places £1.25 so I suggest you go and pick one up before they all disappear!
What do you think of Company magzine? : )

My December Favourites
Here is a few pictures of my favourite things throughout December, these are also featured on my Instagram which you can request to follow, my username is in the description
Lauren Conrad 'Beauty' is such a good book! I would 100% recommend this, I love reading it, it covers everything! makeup, nail art, skincare, hairstyles and more.
I got my nails done at work with Shellac gel nail polish, I thought that with it being the festive season I would get gold glitter on one of them to, Shellac nails is usually between £15-£30 depending on where you go for it and they last 3/4 weeks without chipping. I have been loving Soap and Glory's Hand Food, in the cold weather, it is brilliant and leaves my hands so smooth! In the background is a page from Company magazine, which is my all time favourite mag! It features blogs and blogging tips, makeup and nail art and more it has absolutely everything in it that a girl could want to read!
'Daisy' by Marc Jacobs is a summery scent but I think I can get away with wearing it all year round, unfortunately it has just finished so I need to buy a new one! :(
Pink and Blue fizzy bottles! I had looked all over my town for these sweets and nowhere seemed to sell them, I remember I used to get them every week from the ice cream van when I went to school and I could never find them anywhere else BUT I finally found them in one of the sweet shops in town when they got them back in stock so my boyfriend got me a huge bag full, safe to say they are all gone now!
This book is so lovely! I love all the Cath Kidston decor and this book basically tells you how to have a vintage home and how to create and decorate things, I would recommend buying this book if you too like the vintage, country house style!

New Year again!
Everyone always has New Years resolutions, like 'don't eat so much junk food', 'get fitter', 'keep everything neat and tidy' 'do better in school'.. the list goes on but I think that for me, my New Years resolution is to just be happier, not think so much about future at all and just live for the now and not over think life. I think that to start the year and go onto deciding to go to the gym more and keep healthy you need to have a strong and stress free head, because then you can be ready for new things and take each day as it comes. I hope everyone has a lovely New Year and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, feel free to link any Christmas/NewYear posts you have done on your blog below:)! x
What is your New Years resolution? :)
